So, here was the convo yesterday afternoon. We've been waiting for Peniel's song cover and I'm just glad he did a Verbal Jint...and it's just right that he did it with Sungjae, knowing Verbal Jint's featuring were always the soulful ones (if not hiphop with artists).
I wasn't able to watch it yesterday and even early this morning (2AM), my internet connection was acting up. Anyway, as soon as I had it up~ checked a few notifications and messages, the video was on buffer...
and then... It was heart clecnching, heart breaking, gut busting, mixed emotions reaction.
Hearing our dear Peniel rap, full length~ was just A to the yo-some. He rarely gets the chance to do so~ so it's a moment. Though, there were misses? But not that obvious! He reminds me of Nelly, doing the stop-note thing...there's someone he reminds me of so much also, but I can't still figure out who. And it's a good thing, 'cause he is his own..our PENTASTIC PENIEL. English to Korean to English. He sounds comfortable now. PROUD OF OUR PENIEL.
BUT...
Sungjae. Not again. He got me on his first note. That kid's eyes were the highlight, the emotions were flawless. And his voice, was so clear and neat. So young and still have a long way to run.
Damn boys, you made me sad. Though the song is for positivity ~ if i'm your girl, I'd be more than lucky. But hey!I ain't dreaming of that~ I just so wanted to be your noona. FYI.
Won't say much now, I'm just savoring this awesome gift from you. Can't wait for the others. Minhyuk~ can you do Epik High? Leesang? Dynamic Duo? OH! A SUPREME TEAM COVER!

I honestly don’t know what’s been happening with you guys for the past week or so. I was just told that it was about sasaeng fans and all? If there is more, I don’t know. Sighs.
And as much as I want to know/search what’s really bothering you boys, I’d rather not. It’s not that I don’t care…it’s better this way. It’ll just bring me emotional stress without really knowing the real reason why. Rumors or not, I’m sorry but I just won’t bother. I’d rather not be the one to comment, so this would just hopefully stop soon. I’ll just spam you guys with love and stupid things to make you smile.

Sharing you a song I've been listening to for the past few days. I know it's got a mellow beat - I'm into calming my self anyways, health wise. i posted my thoughts and feels for this in FB : Just one of the few songs where I tend to get lost in the music. Just one of the few when I wish time would stop and music never ends. Sucked in a trance state for a few minutes - felt like an eternity of calmed bliss. ONLY EPIK HIGH can do this to me. You take care of yourselves now. Be healthy.

These kids are the best rookies for me and seeing BToB perform with BAP on one stage was just...awesome. I wish I know more about BAP, but i haven't heard anything bad about them.
The opening was a hook. Strong opening and the energy just lasted till the end (Why do I feel like I'm judging a dance battle...?LOL). And Ilhoon's rap...wow, got respect for you there kid. BAP's old school dance music was also daebak, I mean growing up during the 90s and loving RunDMC's osund, wow. THis is truly a must watch. THIS IS JUST A PHASE. Just a phase. Just a phase.

Finally, I found time to get this on the roll. I had this in mind for quite some time now and I knew I have to spend hours just to get this done, and I wanted it on one-sitting only. But sadly, it took me days to finish.
A short intro. People asking me to link them to some BtoB videos or songs, what would I recommend or what would be the best to get to know them. It should be as easy as 1, 2, 3 really ~ I could link them to all of their videos within the minute, spam their twitter accounts with links or spazz on their FB timelines with every video/song feels. But! But! But! That ain’t the right way. Even I would feel overwhelmed and decide not to bother checking them all out. And for someone not that familiar with Born to Beat and clicking on the wrong link (meaning not to their liking), it’ll definitely be a turn-off.
Don’t get me wrong, we are all different when it comes to music. Even in one idol group we have our own biases -for they are the ones that suites our tastes. Quick example: Beast – I personally, instantly like Doojoon and Junhyeung. Obvious answer, Rappers.
And so, this was how I got hook into BtoB (I know I’ve mentioned it a lot of times in my previous blogs): one of my closest friend linked me to Minhyuk’s pre-debut songs. The HEOTA ones, his Sporty Dog days. I can’t exactly remember which one but she linked me two to three SD* songs~ I guess she was confident I would love it all. She was right and good. I was spazzing after that and even DLed and included some on my eternal playlist (personal music playlist I never, ever erase). She knew I love rappers and breathes hip-hop music. I didn't even know Minhyuk (Heota for me that time) was a BtoB member and didn't really get a chance to get a good look on his face for I was on mobile phone when I listened to his songs. And, I wasn't even that familiar with BtoB (I’d read it as “bi-tob”).
I’ve seen my friends’ tweets to their account @OFFICIALBTOB and I remember watching their first vid when they debuted with Insane. I simply wasn’t a fan back then and I was actually trying to block all new artists since KPop is just, inconsistent? A lot of changes and new stuffs EVERYDAY. I’d rather stick to my old fandoms and have enough of their drama (not really a bad thing).

 Hyunsik. His eyes, smile, and eye-smile are literally melting. He’s a tease, really – days and months of observance will tell one why. Can play a number of instruments, freestyle rap. SEXY, if he should be described in one word. I guess, he knows he’s got the looks and can surely use it to his advantage.

 Ilhoon, sexy baby. A sexy looking baby. This kid is a rapper who does “Kiyomi”-so cute., and just another confusing one. He gives the GD-vibe. Started as a soft-flabby-tofu but now a hot one. Changes hairstyle drastically, that he can only carry. He’s a bit on the naggy-side and uncomfortable with skinship. And his most prominent body part? The “pits”, soft as a baby’s own. *squishy squishy ilhoonie*
 Sungjae, cutest giant maknae. First look, Seo In Guk. The youngest and the tallest. He’s got a unique laugh that can be easily recognized as his. His height is his advantage, since he’s always last in line for being the maknae. He’s different when on stage and being his usual. Emotions wash his face with his every line of a song but a typical sweet-cruel maknae when they’re fooling around. He's, idk, super hot on stage but super cute when not.
 Peniel, the statue. Literally. From Chicago, baby. (…thinks…) Most would say he’s kinda boring- with his short answers and often bland ones. But he’s interesting when it’s the “PenJae” (Peniel-Sungjae) skinship. His voice is quite high for his physique. Food LOVER~ junkfood and sweets! And OH-EM-GEE for his candid-fan-shots, he’s damn almost perfect. The structure of his face and his low fave V-neck shirts are just to die for. His innocent smile and warm eyes are prominent as well. **His family is most vocal when it comes to support. His father interacts with the fans through social media sites and shares young Peniel achievements as well.
 Eunkwang, the “leader”, I’m quoting it since often times I feel like he’s not. He does comedic acts, some an epic fail. Donald Duck and a monkey impersonator, laughable. But he’s the sweetest appa, ever. Not really a head turner? But he’s got his moments (a lot of it) when one would see his HOTness. Probably it’s his sharp eyes? Vampiric smile? Cheeky-bone? Soft-smirks? I’m not spazzing yet, right?

 Changsub, the bias-wrecker. Snow-white skin, scarred with a tattoo on his back – which he still not revealing what’s written on it. Got little red-friends on his face but he’s one confident man, drowsy eyes, cute round nose, pouty lips that does odd-pouts. I can’t get a word that would be a fit description of his voice, high pitched, maybe? Random , weird, crazy, bad boy~ he can be easily described in one word, really. Cellphone-lover? plays the drum, freestyle rap. I guess, he’s also a charmer- he can sway the audience to follow him.

I'm not a fashion blogger nor a fashion enthusiast (to be safe). I just love to appreciate colors, pretty stuffs, and everything nice. Highly opinionated. Comments and reactions, most certainly welcome. First thing I remembered after clicking on the teaser pics was one of my favorite professor's advice: "SCHOOL IS FUN. Google it." And School was derived from a Greek word which means Leisure. And the BtoB teaser pics made me smile. See they're too colorful, pretty much because of their clothes, and the backdrop ~ I just love the classroom concept. As per Yan's definition: KONYO COLLEGE LOOK (Conyo College Look). I'd definitely will go back to school and finish my studies if they do exist. Sometimes, we just need an inspiration getting our butts to school. So, what's really the PRESS PLAY concept? Cube Ent. and BtoB can only answer that BUT we have our own conceptualization based on those clothes. Here goes mine...inspired by @urB2TYfulMELODY ... starting with the maknaes.  Sungjae. The typical-rich-son-of-the-school-owner-kid.
I love how they styled his hair. This kid's got a really nice forehead, see? Now, we can really focus on his eyes and not just those kissable Angelina-Lips. But then again, looks can be deceiving, Sunjae already did that to me. I thought he's manlier (prolly height and built wise) but he's just like my baby brother. And that kiddie-laugh~I'm not sure if I can let that go yet.
He's someone nice to hang around at school and parties 'cause of his naughtiness.
 Ilhoon. The playful-I-can-get-away-with-anything kid.
Hi there GD/JH. I can't see much baby fats here. :) I was pretty apprehensive with the lolli-up hairstyle before this. But now, he's like the baby boy in the class everyone would just love to be close with. A teacher's pet, most likely YES.
He's someone who can brighten up the class with just a pout or anything aegyo. I just wish his rap lines would be light and fun~something far from INSANE.
 Peniel. The-quiet-but-not-a-loner-boy.
He's got the hippest/biggest change here, and it was just only his hair! What a haircut can do. I can't see any awkwardness or shyness here, thank God. He really lives up by the meaning of his name.
I hope I can hear more of him in this album, maybe sing a bit? RED really suites him and finally, not too big clothes for him. My boy-next-door-Peniel.

Why hello, sexy thing. I love your combat boots. He's someone you'd try to find in the school grounds to see his smile and start your day right. Mr. Congeniality, perhaps? I guess, Hyunsik knows he's a heartthrob, if he doesn't~i'd be willing to remind him everyday. His smile is just infectious.
He's someone you'd bet your money to if ever he joins a school popularity contest. No Doubt.

Yes, it's my bias side talking here. The real Conyo-Uni-boy. The 'mind-your-own-business' mentality guy that breaks a lot of hearts but can still swoon a girl's heart with a wink. Oh my.
I'm not sure how they'd be sharing the vocals on this album, but I'm hoping to hear more of him. His voice is just so unique and enticing for me. In every sense.

Description taken from my friend Yan. He's mainly a smarty pants who doesn't need to study and finds school boring. But he's a nice kid that never disappoints and enjoys the attention he gets around him. Can't blame the good looks and wit.
And that permed hair, so nice to brush with our hands, right? I'm first on line...or second to Yan before she kills me. LOL. I'm excited for his rapping parts again.

He's innocent eyes says it all: I'm nice but don't mess with me look. Changsub's a bias wrecker, while this guy's plainly a wrecker (in a good way). If this is indeed a school, he's most likely one of my closest friend. Smart and too good ~ I need to teach him how to say NO ~or Minhyuk can do that.
He's new haircut fits him well. And thank you for not having an outrageous colored hair.
So, there was the WOW Academy. I'm just glad that they won't be prolonging the comeback. These kids makes me smile, makes me happy. I can't wait to here all the songs and get a physical copy of their EP.

It started with this... i have my favorite MTV Diary episodes and Episode 33 adds on it. I was at the hospital last night, my duty to take care of mom, and luckily they turned on the Wi-Fi at the ward. And there were the tweets from my dear friend Yan, looking for someone to spazz over Minhyuk. So, though I was saving phone battery life, I have to see Minhyuk rapping. I mean, rapping other songs or freestyling.

 I just died at the start of the episode. CHANGSUB on drums and they did a (not-so-rock?) cover of Monster (BigBang) and Look at Me (Taeyang).
Changsub's position playing the drums was somewhat perfect. I've got a drummer friend (won awards) who told me that it's all about the drummer's position. If only he wouldn't hide his face so much. Changsubbie--it's just allergies/acnes, okay?
Sungjae singing Taeyang's song was just. This kid's voice is just amazing. But he always ruin it with his kiddy-mischievous laugh. *I don't mind though* And ofcourse, dear Hyunsik lookin sexy with an electric guitar. *grins* And... It doesn't stop there. Finally, Minhyuk rapping. And my heart skipped when a familiar music played ~ I was frustrated for the title of the song was on the tip of my tongue, oh, I know it's related to Epik High and Yankee but it keeps on reminding me a Hyukjae parody *secret smile*.
